Beeslack Penicuik Camera Club - New Members Welcome

Beeslack Penicuik Camera Club meets twice each week. We are a very active club with a current membership of 50. We meet in Beeslack Penicuik Community High School where we have excellent facilities.

Our main weekly meeting, when lectures and competitions take place, is a Thursday evening at 7.30 p.m. Last year we were pleased to entertain many other clubs from all over Scotland to an evening with Joe Cornish. In 2012 we have Laurie Campbell and Charlie Waite heading an impressive list of prestigious speakers.

On Tuesday evenings we have a variety of practical sessions. These sessions cover such topics as Studio work, portraiture is the main studio activity. On these evenings we have a model present. Other topics covered on Tuesdays are informal Photoshop and Audio Visual tuition and discussion. Printing and print mounting are also covered on Tuesday evenings. Additionally, there are a very active group of members participating in a growing list of outdoor activities. We have for a number of years been putting on an exhibition of member's work at Penicuik Centre for a four week period over August.
